After a further 4 years, Jurie was headhunted by Ribco once more and returned as Area Contracts Manager. Jurie built their conventional projects such as the Dental Faculty of Medunsa and the Animal Reseach Station projects amongst many smaller projects.
Schachat Homes then employed Jurie as their Pretoria Area Manager in 1988.

THE HOME DETECTIVE was born!
Jurie retired from active project management at the beginning of 2015. However, he has continued with THE HOME DETECTIVE and home inspections and commercial property assessments up to the present time.
But one thing is certain, good home inspections and reports do require a lot of work! Most of my work in a home inspection and a report is not in the physical inspection itself but in the producing of the inspection report! Reports can take anything from 1 to 2 full days to produce!
As a result, the home inspection knowledge, skill, experience and commitment that I have are paramount in providing you with the best home inspection and report in the business. I guarantee that I will give you my very best effort and commitment when inspecting your property and producing your inspection report.
This I promise you.

In addition, I also inspect the heating, air-conditioning, plumbing, and electrical systems to ensure that they work as intended. Likewise, bathrooms, kitchens, and laundry rooms also receive a thorough check. Following on, I will check the roof (ceiling) space and basement, if any.

inspected, including photographs. Furthermore, the report will be clear and
easy to read.
Moreover, as The Home Detective, I strive to ensure my home inspectionservices and reports are the best. I value customer service above everything else.
Air Conditioning systems
Cupboards and kitchen tops and units

Decks (all types)
Electrical boards & components (DB, plugs, light switches and lights)

There are also various versions of “Sellers Property Condition Disclosure” statements in use by estate agents. The Estate Agency Affairs Board (EAAB) prepared one of the disclosure forms. Another by a prominent firm of conveyancing attorneys. Some “Offer To Purchase” contracts include the seller’s disclosure towards the back of the contract. None do much to make the average property transaction any fairer for the buyer.
